Glamour Magazine nominates, and we agree:

The Woman of the Year is Jennifer Lopez dominatrix.

She humiliated ex-hubby Marc Anthony in a mannter worthy of Cleopatra. She took American Idol, a dubious franchise, to new commercial heights. Her injection of female domination into the popular culture, from musical performances to those remarkable Fiat commercials, makes her a vanguard.

“I am a Goddess,” she proclaimed this fall… and that attitude is, in part, what makes the assertion true.

2. Cameron Diaz. Cameron was a close second, but took the coveted Delilah Award for her coy befuddling of Alex Rodriguez, starting with the Superbowl and extending through A-Rod-less’s sissyfication in a short-lived (for him and the Yankees) post-season.

3. Britney Spears. Britney’s Femme Fatale album completes a jujitsu from battered and bruised to femdom and dominant that we at once advocated, and predicted, back in 2008. (That’s Britney during her comeback, filming video for the release of Three.)

4. Mistress T. One of the steadiest and loveliest producers of fetish art ever. A role model and global femme fatale, she’s a joy to follow.

5. Angelina Jolie. The adopter mother director actress abassador impresses us most with the taming of Brad Pitt. Our celebrity dominatrix of the year in 2009, she’s nearly always somewhere in the Top 10.

6. Taylor Momsen dominatrix. It was an uneven year for TMom. But she struggled through like a true rocker, turned 18, and, well, we still just can’t get over those terrific gun-barrel high heels she likes to wear.

7. Sarah Palin. Like Hillary Clinton, Palin retains a strong appeal as a femdom figure, and like Hillary, seems to revel a bit in it. She doesn’t appear to have political ambitions in the 2012 U.S. race, but politics is only one way to wield power. Our surveys show she has a strong following among submissive males, which is to say, about 99 percent of them. We expect to hear from her in the future.

8. Nicki Minaj. On a night when most of the live performances were tepid at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Minaj’s video clip debut with Rihanna stood out (and stood on) their hapless male worshippers around the world.

9. Lexi Sindel. It’s a delight to hear she’s going to be spending more time in Washington, DC. Maybe she can whip things into shape; heaven knows, the place needs a strong female hand. And glove. And ball gag. And….

10. Catrinel Menghia. “That hot chick from the Fiat commercials” cracks into the toplist, just past Nicole Sherzinger and 2010 Woman of the Year Megan Fox, on the strength of a couple commercials and photo shoots. Hoping for follow-through in 2012.

Few records in sports are as cherished as baseball’s home-run record. Even in the era of steroids, “700″ carries special meaning.

Hence, Cameron Diaz’s casual flirtation with Alex Rodriguez over the last couple years — ending once again this fall in A-Rod’s casual dismissal and another sissyboy postseason — spurs real admiration from us…

(After being ennui-dumped by Cameron again, A-Rod — or as we like to call him, A-Rod-less — batted .111 in the 2011 postseason, with two singles and zero extra base hits in 23 plate apparances. For our readers who aren’t baseball-savvy, these are cuckold-at-the-bat hitting stats. You might say he had trouble getting past first base.)

There was some competition, but considering the above, not much. Jenn Sterger, whose 2008 sexting brought Brett Favre to his knees when discovered in 2010, spent a quiet 2011. 2009 Delilah winner Kim Kardashian brough down New Jersey Nets boytoy Kris Humphries — but, ehh, you know, he’s no Reggie Bush. (Hey Kimmy, how about Tim Tebow in 2012?)

Winning the Delilah Award is an important, and symbolic, achievement for Cameron. As a high school model, she told one interviewer she loved athletes, and had something of a “Delilah complex” for dating the strong guy.

3. Anne Hathaway. Basically, one photo of Hathaway as Catwoman has come out… and yet, within days, Clips4Sale was flooded with Batman-assassination videos from Mistress T, Goddess Celine, Ceara Lynch, Lexi Sindel, and numerous other favorites. What more could you ask for?

4. Zoe Saldana. Sizzling in Columbiana, the critics say. Awright, awright… we’ve not seen it yet. That’s her from The Losers nearby.

5. Helen Mirren. Sparkling and hard-edged sexy in her new release, The Debt. She can’t believe she bested Jennifer Lopez in a hotness contest… but we can.

6. Michele Bachmann. We can’t stop watching her 2009 appearance as a sycophantic loofah-slave Bill O’Reilly grovels at Bachman’s feet (in a fair and balanced way, of course).

7. Angelina Jolie dominatrix. A fortnight without a new humiliation of Brad Pitt is a fortnight without sunshine… or a top 5 spot at Celebrity Femdom.

Femme Fatale Fetish Group — Deadlier than the Male

Alex Rodriguez, the unstable New York Yankee who has effectively been seduced into a state of frenzy by actress Cameron Diaz, has begun talking to Diaz and others about retiring from baseball — at the end of this year, or possibly even in the coming weeks.

Neither A-Rod, who is just beginning to rehabilitate from mid-season surgery, Diaz, or their official representatives would comment on this report. But it comes from a reliable source who works on Cameron’s promotional tours — who’s proven highly accurate in reporting on Cameron’s whipping of A-Rod, predicting breakups and reconciliations, and details, that came out in the mainstream press only weeks or months later.

The nominal reason given to Cameron, according to this source, is that “it would enable him to marry her and spend time with her while she continues to act in movies and promote them.”

It’s true that Rodriguez is thinking partly about his relationship with Diaz. A-Rod has flown into fits of inadequacy and jealousy when hearing media reports about Diaz’s flirting with males like co-star and ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

Still, Diaz, who, ironically has been portrayed as trying to push A-Rod into marriage in some tabloids, reportedly takes this with a grain of salt, particularly as to his motives. And she continues to have little or no interest in marriage, either in general or with the unpredictable Rodriguez.

The other factors:

— A-Rod’s pursuit of Cameron has led him into a “star-struck mentality” that has gotten him into trouble with teammates and with Major League baseball. He may face an MLB suspension for his continuation in various celebrity poker games. The effort to “prove himself” to Cameron while she jets around the globe pursuing her own career, however, has made him even more frantic about his ineffectual output at the plate.

— A-Rod is afraid he “just doesn’t have it any more.” As the Mickey says in the Rocky series, “women weaken legs.” Now Rodriguez has had another surgery, this one mid-year, with more buzz about his personal life and more pressure given it’s the weakest year of his career.

September and October lie ahead, but clutch time has been choke time for Alex, witness the snide nickname given him by baseball aficionados, “Mr. April.”

With the daunting challenge of recovering from surgery, and the inability to use steroids to speed his swing and his recuperation, not to mention the need to chase after the aloof Cameron, Rodroguez is feeling real doubts about his ability to, ahm, perform.

“It’s all too much for A-Rod,” our source says. Indeed. A-Rod’s history suggests one of an acute fear of failure, and an obsession with how he’s viewed. “If he quits, there won’t be any more criticism, and he can pursue Cameron,” our source concludes.

How can this even be possible, considering A-Rod is chasing the all-time home run record of Barry Bonds? As that name suggests, there may not be much point in completing the challenge.

Rodriguez is convinced — probably rightly — that even if he does succeed in breaking the record, he’ll get no credit for doing so from fans or the press, because of his documented, and probably extensive, use of steroids in the past.

And he’s by no means confident he can even do so, coming in the midst of a career-low season for home runs per at bat and his growing obsession with Cameron Diaz.

Bad Teacher is playing to mixed reviews from theater critics, but intelligent New York Yankee fans have already started to realize that Cameron Diaz may be the puppet-master when it comes to the performance of one of the team’s critical players, third baseman and Diaz plaything Alex Rodriguuz.

On-screen Cameron? Karina Longworth sees Diaz’s ordeal in Teacher as a betrayal of feminist ideals. Her character is punished by a male-dominated system, for wanting a rich man to take care of her. Manohla Dargis, meanwhile, (the The New York Times) counters that Diaz herself is liberated by playing such a crass, comic character.

Dargis may have it right when it comes to fitting this film into Daiz’s career. While her cinematic seductress may fail in the first instance, her reality-show role as Delilah is doing just nicely. Last fall, she began a cuckolding-breakup scene with Alex just as the Yankees hit the post-season; Rodriguez collapsed, as did the Yanks in their A.L. championship series.

Earlier this year, Cameron again pressed the aloof button, sending Alex into a 30-game, 2-homer, .220 batting average tailspin while she flirted with co-stars and ex-boyfriends in London.

Yet once she and Alex held hands again and started shopping for art in Florida, the self-doubting narcissist (A-Rod) has recovered to bat above .350 over a 20-game span and start socking the long-ball with authority again.

As if to celebrate her successful enslavement of Rodriguez, Diaz recently re-enacted their famous eat-out-of-my-hand popcorn scene (from the 2011 Superbowl) in a recent appearance on David Letterman. Letterman, a well-known celebrity male submissive, played the part of eager lapdog with relish, acting out the role A-Rod now serves in real life.

An astute observer at the BleacherReport, linking A-Rod’s hot streaks and slumps over the last several years in correlation to his dating activities, notes:

Rodriguez is the type of guy who just needs constant love. One the pressure starts to weigh on him, that’s it, he’s done—and even worse, so are the Yanks.

Sounds a lot like “recline yourself; resign yourself; you’re through,” as the vamp puts it in Damn Yankees. It’s a role we’ve advocated for months for Diaz (as Lola) in the Damn Yankees remake, with Jim Carrey and director Todd Graff, gets steam.

But whether she gets the role of manipulative femdom in the film, Cameron Diaz may be doing Lola one better. She’s playing out the locker room scene in real life on puppet A-Rod. And this time, whatever Lola wants, Lola gets.
