Ever since her own book, Are Men Necessary?, we’ve thought Maureen Dowd had it in her to dominate the male species and thereby, save the world.
Now, however, comes a bit of fan fiction for Mo in which she does just that, a smartly written and detly drawn comic, Benjanmin Marra’s The Incredibly Fantastic Adventures of Maureen Dowd.
Here’s a sample page of Marra’s touch with both the brush and the pen, as sexy Maureen considers the Valerie Plame story, her social schedule for the evening, and the (now deceased) Mo-antagonist Robert Novak:

One apt reviewer — Maureen O’Connor at gawker.com — poses the question:
“On the scale of vaguely offensive sexual characterizations of fictionalized famous females, is this better or worse than Maureen Dowd’s Hillary Clinton as a dominatrix?”
Considering the higher degree of artistry — and a level of wit not achieved even in the afore-alluded-to Spy Magazine treatment of dominatrix Hillary — our answer is “yes….”
…. that is to say, Marra’s celebrity dominatrix Maureen Dowd is slicker, smarter, and yes, even sexier.
