Michele Bachmann dominatrix: Bill O’Reilly grovels on camera
Anyone who doubted our recent post on the Republican party’s fetish for strong women (such as Sarah Palin dominatrix) need look no farther than Bill O’Reilly’s sycophantic interview with Bachmann from 2009, which the folks at CrooksAndLiars.com have kindly preserved for posterity.
The interview itself isn’t particularly stunning… more or less on a par with O’Reilly’s usual sucking up. O’Reilly asks Bachmann about her rise as a target of alleged hatred by the left, Bachmann answers (with apparently unintended irony) that “it’s almost like I have personal stalkers.” (Recall O’Reilly settled a large sexual harassment case against him by one of his former staffers.)
O’Reilly then tells Bachmann how sexy she is, and outlines her status as a powerful and successful woman — something that reveals less about feminists, we think, than it does about O’Reilly himself and his obvious submissive tendencies.

We realize that, at least in name, the GOP is the voice of family values, sexual denial, ad nauseum. Maybe that’s what makes this fetish so, well, titillating for the party’s repressed slave-wannabes.
Consider, if you will, the fact that the GOP had its own dominatrix scandal involving a party fund-raiser several years ago that featured sponsored visits to a professional femdom.
Or, the fact that Fox News, the Mother of all Republican hypocrisy, loves to feature dominatrixes in its television series, even such prime-time “family” programming as, well, Family Guy. (See our post on Lois Griffin dominatrix, here.)
And then, of course, we have O’Reilly himself. When he propositioned his intern several years ago, he offered to scrub her back with a lufa — a submissive offer suggestive of some of his favorite kinks, which also include barefoot worship, pantyhose restraint, and oral service — according to a former Fox News staffer who spoke to us on condition of confidentiality.
So yah, our thesis is that the American right, in its heart of hearts, longs to see women on top. They haven’t brought their stated principles in line with their secret yearnings. But that’s okay. It certainly gives web sites like us a lot to report on, and report on it we will: All part of being fair and balanced.

Most bloggers are quite young so they will select from those who they have watched in the last twenty years when the Toon had their best team in 1990s. The usual suspects crop upShearer, Ginola, Beardsley, Lee, Gascoigne etc. Many will not have heard of Tony Green who only played for the Toon for a couple of years in the early 70s when they had an average team. Just look at this blog and see how often the name Green gets mentioned by the older generation who will be outnumbered by the youngsters on this blog. That says everything about Green who would have been a legend alongside Shearer, Milburn and Gallagher but for injury. He could not score goals like them but he was a much more skilful footballer. Genius.
