It’s been nearly two years since Variety reported that Jim Carrey is working on a remake of the femdom-comedy classic Damn Yankees.
We immediately thought of Cameron Diaz for the role of Lola — reuniting her with Carrey, whose Mask owed some fair portion of its success to her portrayal as sexy dancer Tina Carlysle.
With news reports also suggesting she’s looking for a baseball film to provide a role for, and together-time with, Alex Rodriguez…
it’s obvious that initial devilish thought has an even more compelling logic.
She can dance. She can act. She can seduce a baseball star who’s had his performance enhanced by an illicit pact with the devil…
Indeed, as we’ve reported previously, she’s done a nice job of public humiliation on ARod, from a public dumping last fall to making him swallow at the Superbowl.
And she’s, well, hot… as Carrey well knows.
Give her a shot, Jim. Todd Graff, call your office. Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets.
