Not our words… that’s the assessment of a member of the Britney Spears choreography team, describing the pop star’s routines in recent concerts in Miami and New Orleans.

Indeed, as the photo nearby shows, Britney’s not been reticent about working highly explicit femdom imagery into her dance numbers, not to mention the recent photo shoots she’s participated in.

A year ago, DieForHer.com was practically alone in predicting a Britney Spears comeback, and advocating it based on a resurgence of the female dominance found in such videos as Toxic. (See “Stand on Your Man” at our old blog url.)

Now it’s becoming conventional wisdom, with Famewatcher.com, to name just one, writing:

“You gotta give props to Britney for her successful comeback. Seriously, who would have thunk [ahem: Celebrity Dominatrix, that's who - ed.] that this mess of a girl a year ago has now managed to revive her career.”

Dominatrix Rihanna: If it looks like a domme….

A (self-admittedly) confused Monica Gaza of the Fashion Police doesn’t understand pop singer Rihanna’s femme fatale wardrobe, writing:

She once confessed to harboring a secret passion for donning racy stage outfits…. But what does this whole (literally) “dress to kill” mania mean? As I said, it’s all very confusing. Is Rihanna trying to tell us something?

Maybe it’s just me, but combine it with her dance routines, featuring throngs of male submissive-slave types carrying Rihanna around and worshipping her on stage, and with her penchant for fetishistic gear at many events…

… and I would say, this lovely young lady is a dominant woman who (as she puts it) “likes to wear” dominatrix clothing and is emerging as a femdom force in the world. We are entering the age of The Disposable Male, as one book by a self aware male author put it.

So, don’t be sad, Monica — dance and rejoice. Preferably in spiked heels on your boyfriend’s chest. It’s what he secretly wants, anyway.
